By virtue of Board Resolution 1606 dated August 12, 2021, Dr. Alejandro G. Ibañez was conferred the CES Very Innovative Person (VIP) award by the Career Executive Service Board after a national rigorous screening process. Dr. Ibañez was commended for conceptualizing and implementing Navoschool-in-a-Box, a package of self-learning modules, activity sheets, USB on the Go that contains video lessons, and COVID kit that became a springboard of activities, such as the Hatid Aral and Tutor a Learning Child.
SDO Navotas team, led by Dr. Alejandro G. Ibañez, shared its contextualized assessment framework to the members of the Senate Committee of Basic Education, chaired by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian on August 25, 2021. Usec. Nepomuceno Malaluan invited SDO Navotas to share its practices of policy operationalization to give the panel insights on how quality learning is assured in distance learning situation.
