With the theme, “Charting the Course for 2020, Celebrating the Journey,” the 10th Founding Anniversary of the Division of City Schools Navotas was commemorated by the city’s Education Champions on January 10, 2020 at the SDO Conference Room.
“We are as good as our weakest staff. Hence we need to address, develop, empower and invest on our employees for them to be competent and committed employees,” quoted from the message of Dr. Alejandro G. Ibañez, OIC-Schools Division Superintendent to all supervisors and unit heads in the recently concluded Competency Enhancement Program for SDO Personnel which was held last December 20-21, 2019 at the Blue Coral Beach Resort, Laiya, San Juan, Batangas.
Education champions of SDO Navotas heightened their commitment to improve reading achievements of learners and ensure that all children read at their grade level in the Launching of the Bawat Bata Bumabasa Initiative and Division Roll-out of Digital ELLN (Early Language Literacy and Numeracy) program held on December 17, 2019 at Navotas National High School.
One of the 21st-century skills that every learner should possess is communication skills. To help Navoteńo students to develop this skill, teachers handling science both in elementary and high school were trained in the Division Seminar-workshop on Language Strategies in Teaching Science held from December 16-18, 2019 at North Bay Boulevard North, Navotas City.
