In response to SDO’s advocacy to promote happy schools with happy learners and teachers, the City Government of Navotas under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Tobias Reynald “Toby”M. Tiangco together with the Hon. Congressman John Reynald M. Tiangco surprised the teachers with a star-studded variety show which was held last December 6, 2019 at the Navotas Sports Complex, M. Naval Street, SipacAlmacen, Navotas City.
Dr. Alejandro G. Ibañez, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Officer-In-Charge, Office of the Schools Division Superintendent in his speech underscored that both LGU and DepEd are concerned for the welfare of the teachers, their rights and privileges, and also their roles and responsibilities.
The presence of the honorable mayor and honorable congressman added more excitement to all the teachers for they themselves were considered by the teachers as hottest stars. Faculty members also experienced many surprises like raffles and other cash prizes as these were early Christmas gifts for the teachers by the City Government.
Several guest stars and music bands rendered song numbers that made the occasion more festive and fun for the teachers.
