SDO NAVOTAS INTRODUCES THE ONE-PAGE ACTION RESEARCH PROPOSAL

The SDO Navotas recognizes the importance of professional standards in the continuing professional development and advancement of teachers-based principle of lifelong learning.

In support to the teachers in Navotas to develop a research-based knowledge and principles of teaching and learning and to engage them to actively embrace a continuing effort in attaining proficiency, the SDO Navotas conducted an Action Research Writing: The Easier Way (A Research Enhancement Program for Teachers), with a Theme: Towards Outcomes-based Research Practices last November 12, 2019 at Navotas Elementary School Conference Room. This is where the One-Page Action Research proposal was introduced.

Dr. Gemma C. Villaluna, SGOD Chief, delivered and presented the activity objectives.  She also emphasized importance of research in addressing classroom issues and concerns.

Research updates was given by Mr. Bonifacio D. Dullas IV, SEPS-Planning and Research.  He highlighted the research priority areas of the National Capital Region as basis for BERF research topics for calendar years 2019 to 2020.

The orientation of writing research in an easy way was discussed by Mr. Erros Josephus Gutierrez, Teacher from Navotas National High School.  To make the discussion more informative, he presented his own one-page research proposal and final output.  There was lots of information put into the mind of the participants since each word uttered by the speaker was meaningful.

Dr. Alejandro G. Ibanez, OIC- Schools Division Superintendent, the brain behind the One-Page action research, shared his expertise by giving an evocative message.  He also discussed the future direction of Research in the SDO of Navotas through the use of the Action Research Framework.

An encouraging closing remarks was certained by Mrs. Loida O. Balasa, CID Chief.

The orientation-workshop was attended by 72 school research committee-members, 24 school heads, and 19 Division officials and staffs.
