By: Dr. Sarah M. Sison

“Love Your Work and it Will Love You Back”. This is the core message given by  Dr. Alejandro G. Ibañez, OIC-Schools Division Superintendent as he connects the relevance of the roles and responsibilities of DepEd employees to the attainment of the vision and mission of the organization.  This was held last February 20, 2020 at the Division Office Conference Hall which was attended by nineteen (19) newly hired non-teaching personnel of SDO-Navotas.

The program intends to orient the participants on their roles and  responsibilities, their benefits as well as to be conscious with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

Dr. Buenafe E. Sabado, OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, formally welcomed the newly hired non-teaching personnel in the organization and challenged them to become contributors of success  rather than being a liability to their units and sections. She even hope that the learnings they will gain from the program would manifest on their performance as member of SDO-Navotas.

After the short opening program, Atty. Elvie G. Bialno discussed about the RA 6713, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees and Administrative Offenses. She emphasized that public servants should always bear in mind their roles and responsibilities, must serve as a role model of the office/unit that they represent and must treat all the clients equally. It was followed by the presentation of Dr. Sarah M. Sison, Senior Education Program Specialist on HRD of Module for Newly Hired Non-teaching Personnel. This is the follow up activity after the induction.  The module aims to draw learning through reading and help SDO employees realize their professional goals in their DepEd journey.  Mr. June Fermin Javier, Administrative Officer V delighted the participants to his topic on Employees Welfare System. He stated all the benefits that the government employees entitled to receive during their stay in the service. Quality Management System on the other hand was given by the SGOD Chief Education Supervisor, Dr. Gemma C. Villaluna. She made the participants understand the interfacing in the department and interested party and how would the functions interconnected with other units so that everybody in the organization would perform well their task.

One of the highlights of the activity was the Oath taking of the Newly hired employees led by Dr. Ibanez followed by the awarding of certificates of the participants and speakers of the program.
