SDO Navotas holds the 1st Learning Engagement and Management Committee Meeting for Private Schools

The 1st Division Learning Engagement and Management Committee Meeting (LEMCM) for Private Schools was held on December 10, 2019 at La Naval Academy Inc., with the Navotas Association of Private School Administrators (NAPSA) as the host while Curriculum Implementation Division, of the SDONavotas as the Secretariat.

The engagement was participated by Division officials who presented and discussed the following topics: 1. Division Issuances, Dr. Buenafe E. Sabado, EPS, OIC-Asst. Schools Division Superintendent; 2. On-line Application for Permit/Recognition, Dr. Esperanza M. Soledad, Public Schools District Supervisor/ Focal Person for Private Schools; 3. Administrative Issues, Mr. June Fermin Javier, Administrative Officer; 4. Child Protection Policy, Atty. Elvie G.Bialno, Legal Officer; 5. EBEIS/LIS/BOSY/EOSY, Mr. Jonell B. Sison, Planning Officer and Mrs. Victoria R. De Jesus, SEPS, Social Mobilization; 6. Off Campus Activities and Scouting,Dr. Gemma C. Villaluna, Chief-School Governance and Operation Division (SGOD); 7. Math Olympiad, Mrs. Loida O. Balasa, Chief, Curriculum Implementation Division (CID); 8. Science Fair, Mr. Rusell P. Samson,  Educ.  Program Supervisor; 9. Journalism, Dr. Rico C. Tarectecan and Dr. Marco A. Meduranda, Educ.  Program Supervisors;

There was 100% participation of the seventeen private schools in Navotas. They were attentive to the speakers as topics presented.

The 1st LEMCM for private schools is well appreciated by administrators and school heads andthey are thankful for including them in this kind of division activity.Dr. Alejandro G. Ibañez, OIC, Schools Division Superintendent personally conceptualized the activity and included topics, issues and concerns, for discussion.

Some private schools’ heads freely open up their thoughts and requested some topics for discussion on the next LEMCM such as Data Privacy Act; Revised Manual for Private Schools; Promotion of Private Schools in Public Schools; and Subsidy/Voucher in Private Schools.
