SDO Navotas Conducts Quarterly ICT Capability Building

The IT Unit of Schools Division Office of Navotas City conducted the last of the four ICT Capability Building for School ICT Coordinators last December 4, 2019 at SDO Navotas Conference Hall which aims to:

  1. update the schools regarding the DepEd Computerization Program.
  2. expose the teachers to various and relevant ICT applications for developing lesson.
  3. acquire knowledge/skills related to ICT.
  4. appreciate the impact of ICT integration in teaching and learning process.

The training started at exactly 8:00 in the morning with National Anthem, Doxology, and Division Hymn presented through Audio Visual Presentation. The training was hosted by Ms. June Rose A. Estrada teacher of FilemonT. Lizan Senior High School.

After the Opening Program, Mr. Dondon G. Mateo, IT Officer I of SDO Navotas welcomesand give his messages in behalf of the Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Alejandro G. Ibañez, CESO VI to the ICT Coordinators from different schools. 

First Part of the training was conducted by Dr. Dondon G. Mateo wherein he discussed the use of the Service Marks and Visual Identity Manual of the Department of Education (DSMVIM) and the DepEd Manual of Styles (DMOS), the ICT School Survey and Monitoring Checklist, the Office 365 Account of the Teachers, and the Accomplishment Report of the Schools.

The Second Part of the training was all about the Office 365 wherein Ms. Jasmin Roxanne A. Sobremesanadiscussed the Creation of Microsoft Account, One Note, and e an App called Kahoot to be used by the Teachers in the integration of ICT to their teaching, it was followed by the discussion of Mr. Elijah S. Santos on One Drive, online MS Powerpoint application, Flip Grid, and other different features of Office 365.

The last part of the training was the discussion of School Website Design and Layout by Ms. Clarence Marie Quibilan from Art Personas. She presented the article-based website design and layout to ensure uniformity ofSDO Navotas website.

The success of one-day capacity building brought about various transfers of skills, and learning needed to enhance the participants productivity in managing ICT resources of the school.
