The School Division Office, Navotasconducted its Annual Technolympics for School Year 2019-2020 with the theme, “Authentic Filipino Talents and Skills: Breaking the Barriers for Inclusive Education” last October 11, 2019. The activity was hosted by Tangos National High School for the Secondary Level and Tangos Elementary School- 1 hosted the Elementary level.

The event aims to provide opportunities for students to showcase their remarkable products and performances in different skills acquired in their specializations in Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE / Edukasyon at Pangkabuhayan (EPP) and Technical Vocational Education.

The Opening program was held in Tangos Elementary School and attended by the Division Officials headed by the new OIC-Schools Division Superintendent of SDO-Navotas,  Dr. Alejandro G. Ibañez CESO VI, Mrs. Loida O. Balasa, Chief, Curriculum Implementation Division, Education Program Supervisors, Public Schools District Supervisors, Elementary and High School Heads.

Also in attendance were Local Government Officials headed by Hon. Vice Mayor Nicolas Clint Geronimo and Hon. Councilor Arnel S. Lupisan, In-Charge for Education, TLE Department Heads and Coordinators, teacher-trainers, student participants, parents and invited judges from the Industry and partner Technical and Vocational Institutions. Mr. James A. Roldan, Regional TLE-EPP EPS-CLMD, also grace the conduct of the activity.

At the end of the competition, Tangos National High School was the over-all champion in the secondary level, while North Bay Boulevard Elementary in the Elementary.

Dr. Ibañez reminded the participants that competition should not be with one another but with themselves as they are already considered winners in their own right if they are geared towards continuous improvement.
