“SDO Dance Sports Aspirants Aim for Elusive Palaro Medals”

Despite Christmas break, MAPEH teachers showed their dedication to improve their craft after attending the Three-Day Division Seminar-Workshop in Dance Sports conducted last December 18-20, 2019 at Kapitbahayan Elementary School, NBBS, Navotas City.

            Aside from its quest in producing palaro medalists in Dance Sports, the activity also aims to demonstrate understanding of collaboration in the creative process through leadership, participation and reflection; develop multi-faceted physicality through training in dance techniques; improve physical fitness and mental well-being to form social relationships and to obtain results in competition at all levels; prepare students to enter the professional world of the performing arts and to pursue further studies in Arts and Design Strand and integrate an understanding of cultural content into creative and scholarly research.

            All the 15 Elementary Schools and 7 Junior High Schools participated in this activity sent two participants in standard category that included waltzs, quick step and tango while two participants were also sent in the latin category that included cha chacha, jive and rumba.

            The training ended successfully with the hopes that SDO Navotas could produce future medalists in the category of Dance Sports not even in the regional level but in the national palaro as well.
